Helping Teachers Embrace the Future, Without Fear
When we began our journey to introduce AI to teachers, we knew we weren’t just handing over handbooks, we were opening doors. In many schools, especially in smaller towns, the idea of AI can feel distant, even intimidating. For some teachers, it was the first time hearing about tools like ChatGPT. For others already exploring AI, there was confusion about how to use it meaningfully in a classroom. That’s where Everyday AI for Educators came in. We designed this initiative with one simple belief: teachers must not be left behind in the age of AI.
Globally, there were plenty of resources about AI in education but very few spoke to the real challenges faced by Indian teachers, especially those in smaller towns and low resource settings. For many, technology is still new. The question isn’t just how to use AI, it’s why should I use this at all?
These handbooks were not made in isolation. They were handcrafted, tested, and improved by a diverse team of educators, school leaders, and technologists, working closely with real teachers in real classrooms. The goal was never to push technology, but to support it with empathy, practicality, and purpose.
More than 140 teachers have now benefited from the program. Whether they were new to AI or already experimenting with it, the handbooks helped them use technology with confidence, clarity, and responsibility. These weren’t just tips and tricks, they were bridges connecting AI tools with actual teaching needs.
To make this transition more meaningful, we facilitated a 5-day workshop at Bal Vidya Mandir School. It became a space for honest learning, reflection, and hands-on practice. Teachers who once hesitated to even ask questions about AI are now confidently building AI integrated lessons, creating assignments, and organizing their work better.
